Gender Awareness 1 Hour Intro Session

This online training is designed as an introduction to some of the key ideas and themes around trans liberation to help you feel more confident when discussing gender and trans rights. This session covers: Language and terminology, Intersectionality, Non binary identities, Transgender health and wellbeing, Trans rights and the law. Learning Outcomes - Participants will: > Feel more confident in their knowledge of the experiences of people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex and asexual (LGBTQIA+). > Understand what gender inclusive language is and when to use it. > Learn about current legislation and understand what this might mean for trans and non-binary people living in the UK today. Each participant will be given their own resource sheet with content covered in the session along with further advice and resources. Who is the training for? This training is suitable for individuals, employees, freelancers, managers, and HR professionals who want to contribute to a more inclusive and equitable workplace. It is ideally suited to people who are newer to this subject and want an overview of key terminology and issues to support their understanding.
